General Appearance A medium sized svelte and refined cat with long and tapering lines.
Body Style Svelte, long, and graceful with a distinctive combination of firm muscles and fine bones.  Hips and shoulders continue the same sleek lines fo the tubular body.
Coat Type Coat lyes close to the body with a short, glossy, fine texture.
Eye Shape and Color Eyes are medium in size and almond shaped that is slanted toward the nose in harmony with the lines of the ears and wedge.  They should be uncrossed and a deep vivid blue.
Head Shape Head is a medium sized long tapering wedge with no break at the whiskers.  Skull should be flat and the muzzle wedge shaped and fine.  Nose should be long and straight with no break.  Jaw and chin are medium.
Ear Shape Ears are strikingly large with a wide base and pointed.  They should continue the lines of the wedge.
Tail Shape Tail is long and thin tapering into a fine point.
Available Colors Himalayan pattern in chocolate, seal, blue, or lilac point.
Show Disqualification Eye color other than blue, long hair, malocclusion, mouth breathing, white toes or feet, any visible kink in the tail, or week hind legs.

The Siamese is a very popular and lovely breed of cat, and the oldest domesticated feline known. In Siam, this cat was considered sacred and once only royalty was allowed to have a Siamese in their household.

This elegant cat comes in both Traditional and Modern types: the Modern type is more commonly seen, with a rounder head and larger body. The Traditional type has long, sleek, more extreme lines to both body and head, but both have blue, almond eyes, and a short, silky coat. The Siamese is born all white, with its color points coming in over the next few weeks, and continuing to darken as they mature. Their color points occur in the colors of seal, chocolate, blue, and lilac. These kitties are known for being extremely vocal; the Siamese will make sure to let you know where they are and when they want something.     With their short hair, grooming is very easy with the Siamese, and they normally live long healthy lives, with an average life span of between 14 to 20 years.

The Siamese are highly intelligent, inquisitive, playful, and have a loving nature, making them remarkable family pets.
